Vale-Bridgecraft is extremely pleased to have won the title Best Fabric Upholstery Award confirming the Company’s enviable reputation, as one of the country’s most distinguished furniture manufacturers. Interiors Monthly polled 6000 furniture and flooring retailers for the answer.

Furthermore in 2010 we are delighted to have been awarded the additional title of Best Customer Services!

The well known local business started in Todmorden in 1947 and moved to bigger premises in Mytholmroyd in 1982.

The Company has a niche in the upholstery market place catering for customers who require quality product combining superior design and craftsmanship.

These recent awards add to a collection of others including five Du Pont Awards for best design and Gold Awards from AIS (Associated Independent Stores) representing 150 quality independent stores around the country.

Vale-Bridgecraft have stockists in most towns around the British Isles and also have seven of our own regional showrooms where the public can browse at their leisure without pressure to buy.

The company is one of the largest local manufacturers and has a skilled workforce, some of who have spent all their working life at Vale having started from school and are now reaching retirement.

We a close relationship with Calder High and Ridings Schools and also with Calderdale Community Foundation. Our annual bursary awarded to the schools and now in its eleventh year has financed around 400 places on a five day course at the Outward Bound centre in Ullswater. The courses address the social, physical and educational barriers that young people may face and instils confidence, self-belief and determination to succeed.
