Warrington Museum & Art Gallery
Travel through time and around the world at Warrington Museum & Art Gallery, one of the oldest museums in the country. Opened in 1857, much of the quintessential character of the building has been preserved and its original glass cabinets are crammed with treasures from all around the world.
The permanent galleries feature a wealth of material on the natural world including Warrington’s very own dinosaur. Popular exhibits include the beautifully decorated Egyptian painted coffin on Priest Paikhmennu from the temple of Amun in Thebes.

Walton Hall and Gardens
Walton Gardens in Warrington was originally part of a much larger country estate, purchased in 1812 by the Greenall family, famous for their success in the brewing industry.
Walton Gardens has spacious lawns, a Heritage Centre Cafe and picnic areas, play area, children's zoo, pottery in the park and various other outdoor activities.
The mature parkland and ornamental gardens remain beautiful throughout the year, with trees and shrubs from all over the world
Walton Hall and Gardens is open every day of the year from 8am until dusk.
