Guaranteed with confidence

Our traditionally hand built products are famous for their quality and durability. We are pleased to offer a 25 year guarantee for the frame and springs of all our sofas and chairs.

No ordinary guarantee

Traditionally, quality furniture making had an eye on the future as many household items were expected to be used for life and even passed down as family heirlooms. We make Vale Bridgecraft sofas and chairs in the same spirit, using the timeless techniques of British craftsman upholstery makers.

Selection of the right materials is key, so we use only solid Beech and Birch for our frames. These kiln-dried hardwoods come from managed forests, complying with FSC and PEFC sustainability standards. The frames are hand sawn and shaped and fitted together with double dowelling and brass screws for ideal stability. The seating is supported by reinforced, British steel coil springing.

Vale Bridgecraft has been making Britain’s finest upholstery for a combined total of 146 years. Our assurance in offering a 25 Year Frame and Spring Guarantee is something we are especially proud of.

Guarantees we give:

  • Frames and springs guaranteed for 25 years against faulty manufacture from the date of delivery, subject to general wear and tear.

  • Recliner and Rise & Recline mechanisms and motors are guaranteed for 5 years from the date of delivery.

  • Motorised recliner batteries are guaranteed for 12 months from the date of delivery.

  • All the above guarantees are in addition to the customer’s statutory rights.

Following delivery of your Vale Bridgecraft products, please complete and return the guarantee form to us to register your guarantee.

Dear Sir

Having recently seen an advert in the Telegraph Magazine, I am prompted to write and tell you to say that my wife and I purchased a Bridgecraft Sofa and two armchairs FIFTY years ago. When we made the purchase, at Bainbridges in Newcastle, we had our two year old daughter with us and the salesman said ‘You will still have this suite when she is eighteen’, he certainly under-estimated the life and quality of a Bridgecraft frame!

I am delighted that Bridgecraft is still in existence. I should like to express our appreciation, our gratitude and our good wishes for your continued and well-deserved success.

Yours Faithfully

Raymond Wood
